This is a 13 inch Sirupate khukuri/Kukri with Horn Handle. The name of this particular knife comes from the name of the grass, 'siru'. The shape of the blade of this khukuri is almost identical to the Siru leaf. That is why it is called Sirupate khukuri. It has a straight blade and is not as wide as other knives. Our artisans come from "Kami" / "Biswakarma" castes who are the traditional inheritors of the art of making khukuri by using the highest quality materials in a very traditional way using a traditional tool. The blade is semi-polished and goes through hard oil quenching tempering. The full tang handle is approximately 5.5 inches made of Rosewood and includes a Lanyard hole.
